THE WHAT? DFS has announced the promotion of Ariel Gentzbourger, formerly Senior Vice president Beauty and Fragrance, to Executive Vice President Merchandising.
THE DETAILS In her new role, Gentzbourger will support her manager, Sibylle Scherer, President Merchandising and Marketing and assume daily responsibility for day-to-day operations of DFS’ global Merchandising organization.
Christophe Marque has been named Senior Vice President Beauty and Fragrances, reporting to Ariel.
THE WHY? Philippe Schaus, Chairman and CEO of DFS Group, explains, “Since joining DFS in 2014, Ariel has been instrumental in leading a number of successful transformative strategies within Beauty to meet the changing desires of our traveling customers. As Executive Vice President Merchandising, her leadership, broad merchandising insights and brand experience will support our continuous efforts to expand and elevate our global network of airport stores and downtown T Galleria stores.”
