Furniture retail Sixpenny leases first store in DUMBO

Direct-to-consumer furniture retailer Sixpenny has inked a lease for new office space at 45 Main Street in DUMBO, the company and its brokers announced today.

The 3,498 s/f lease in the Two Trees Management-owned building, which is just steps from the Brooklyn Bridge, will be Sixpenny’s first office in New York.

Brandon Singer and Michael Cody, of retail brokerage MONA, represented Sixpenny in the transaction. Two Trees Management was represented in-house by Alyssa Zahler and Sunny Choi.

Singer said,  “We were proud to have represented this incredible brand in securing their first office space in the United States, and we will be focused on helping them navigate the launch of their first-ever foothold in New York. ”

Sixpenny intends to use the space to create a “truly exciting workplace with a lot of unique design elements,” according to Michael Cody, director and co-founder of MONA.

Sixpenny is expected to begin occupying the space in the first quarter of 2022.

Originally completed in 1912, 45 Main Street is a 12-story, 475,000 s/f landmark building with a landscaped roof deck designed by Field Operations – the landscape designers of the High Line and Domino Park.
