General Motors Halting Most Production In The U.S.

The shortage was caused by a rise in demand for electronics with chips and supply chain issues because of the pandemic.

Starting Monday, General Motors is pausing production at almost all of its assembly plants in North America.

It’s because of a computer chip shortage. 

The chips are essential for many car parts and small electronic devices.
