According to a source familiar with the matter, Brian Robbins, president of ViacomCBS Inc’s Children’s Network, will take over as Chairman and CEO of the media company’s Paramount Film Studio.

Robbins will succeed Jim Gianopoulos, the current CEO of Paramount Pictures.

The move, first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Friday, comes as ViacomCBS presses online streaming to keep pace with the likes of Netflix Inc and Disney Co’s Disney+.

Notable children’s film and TV franchises such as “Paw Patrol,” “SpongeBob” and “iCarly” are key to ViacomCBS’ efforts to take on Disney in the streaming wars.
