Aer Lingus launched its new non-stop route between Dublin and Denver today, May 17.

The inaugural service took flight from Dublin at 3:30 pm on Friday, with the new route operating four times weekly on an Airbus A330.

Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer with Aer Lingus, said the new route forms a vital part of the airline’s North American expansion.

“We are thrilled to commence our Denver route today, another important milestone for Aer Lingus to drive forward our North American expansion,” Carberry said in a statement.

“The new service is also of huge importance to the Denver region as Aer Lingus is the only European carrier that flies nonstop to Ireland and offers convenient onward connections to the UK and Europe via our hub here at Dublin Airport,” Carberry added.

“When flying with us, passengers will experience Aer Lingus’ signature warmth and friendly Irish welcome onboard.

“The new direct route to Denver will also facilitate increased collaboration between Ireland and Colorado’s thriving business and tourism industries and we look forward to welcoming many passengers on board.”

Aer Lingus is offering €100 discounts on economy fares and €200 on business fares for all flights to Denver between August 1 and November 30. The offer will remain in place until midnight on Sunday, May 19.

Aer Lingus, who also launched four times weekly flights between Dublin and Minneapolis St. Paul last month, now operates 18 different routes between Ireland and North America.

The Irish airline ranks fourth in the world in terms of the breadth of its long-haul network serving key US gateway, while it is the fifth-largest European carrier based on the number of seats on offer between Europe and the US.
