Community Restaurant Offering Thanksgiving Dinner for Families in Need

On Cue Sports Bar & Grill Hosts Community Thanksgiving Dinner with Local Nonprofit Support

FRONT ROYAL, VA – In an inspiring act of community spirit, On Cue Sports Bar & Grill will once again host a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner, continuing its commitment to fostering family connections and kindness among residents. This year, owners Danielle and Cole Haase have joined forces with Reaching Out Now, a local nonprofit dedicated to aiding families in need, particularly those connected to Warren County Public Schools.

“Thanksgiving is about gratitude and togetherness, and this community embodies both,” Danielle Haase remarked, highlighting the restaurant’s mission to serve as a gathering place. “Cole and I decided that opening our doors to our family and the community is just a simple reminder that, no matter your circumstance, you have a place and people who care.”

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, which attracted approximately 230 attendees, the bar will offer a traditional buffet-style dinner free of charge from 3 PM to 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day. While the regular menu will not be available, the bar will be open for those wishing to purchase beverages. Guests can look forward to a festive atmosphere, complete with football on large-screen televisions and board games for entertainment.

In addition to hosting the dinner, On Cue has set an admirable precedent in philanthropy. Last year, the establishment raised ,800 for the Hope and Rest Temporary Shelter, and this year, it aims to collect donations for both the thermal shelter and Reaching Out Now. These efforts underline the restaurant’s proactive role in addressing local needs, showing how businesses can make positive contributions to their communities.

Samantha Barber, the founder of Reaching Out Now, commended the Haases for their ongoing efforts to support families in the area. The nonprofit has worked to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need for several years. This year, nine public schools were tasked with identifying five families in need of assistance, and On Cue has committed to preparing meals featuring a choice of turkey or ham, along with pie for dessert.

“This initiative is a wonderful example of a community-focused tradition,” Barber noted, emphasizing the impact of such collaborative efforts. The partnership between On Cue and Reaching Out Now not only nourishes bodies but also cultivates a sense of unity among residents.

As part of its outreach, On Cue is inviting the community to contribute by donating food items, Martin’s turkey vouchers, or monetary support to further enhance the Thanksgiving dinner experience. These contributions reflect a community coming together for a noble cause—ensuring no family in Front Royal has to face Thanksgiving alone.

In alignment with holiday themes of generosity and support, this initiative exemplifies the power of local businesses and nonprofits to create meaningful change in their communities, promoting a spirit of inclusion and care during the festive season.
