In Southern Utah, customers can expect only the very best from “The Internet People” at InfoWest. Although technology has evolved by leaps and bounds over the last 30 years, one thing that hasn’t changed is the company’s commitment to taking care of every subscriber and helping them stay connected in today’s digital world.

“InfoWest is big enough to get you the speed you need and bring fiber to your home, yet small enough to treat you like our neighbor – because you are one,” marketing specialist Laiza Moreno said. “We are proud and confident that we do indeed deliver the ultimate internet experience for our customers.”

What’s new with InfoWest?

It might be hard to believe that Washington County was once considered “rural,” but InfoWest has proudly served rural communities across Southern Utah since opening its doors in 1994. Now, three decades later, the company has stayed true to its roots by bringing fiber internet not only to the greater St. George and Cedar City areas but also to small towns like Monroe and Annabella in Sevier County.

Fiber makes streaming, gaming and working from home better by increasing stability and reducing annoying interruptions like buffering. Plans start at 250 megabits per second and top out at 2 gigabits per second, which is more than enough to power the needs of both residential and business customers. Unlike many internet service providers, InfoWest offers symmetrical download and upload speeds for seamless connectivity.

Southern Utah’s choice to get connected

InfoWest is committed to reinvesting heavily into its network to provide gigabit speeds and reliability supported by friendly, efficient customer service. In fact, the company employs over 150 Southern Utahns.

Along with industry-leading speed and stability, InfoWest offers top-of-the-line routers and apps to help customers control their network and keep their personal information safe. The company also provides security, VoIP phone service and IT support. Many of the largest events in Southern Utah rely on InfoWest’s decades of experience and knowledge to get online.

Awards and accolades

Voters in this year’s Best of Southern Utah contest awarded InfoWest a gold medal for internet provider and silver in the telecom category. The company has also received prior awards for customer service and community partner. Best of Southern Utah winners are selected by popular vote, and this year’s contest was the largest ever with more than 900,000 votes cast and over 1,600 local businesses on the ballot.

InfoWest also recently won Best of State in the telecommunications category, which covers TV, internet and phone service providers throughout Utah. Best of State candidates are evaluated by a panel of judges based on their ability to excel in their endeavors, use innovative approaches or methods and contribute to a better quality of life for all Utahns. It’s the second year in a row that the company has received this prestigious honor.

“Our mission is to provide the ultimate internet experience one customer at a time,” InfoWest CEO Kelly Nyberg said. “When you achieve that, awards come naturally.”

The future is fiber

InfoWest’s fiber footprint is rapidly expanding throughout southern and central Utah. Crews are currently working to lay fiber in several parts of St. George, and the historic downtown district is expected to be completed soon. Fiber is also now available in specific areas of Washington City and Hurricane.

In Cedar City, InfoWest is bringing fiber and FiberWave, which provides speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second without the expense of trenching fiber, to the downtown area as well as several new subdivisions. The company is also in the process of upgrading all existing wireless subscribers with access to fiber or FiberWave for free.

“This upgrade will allow them to get even faster speeds as they become available and help future-proof their internet,” Moreno said.

The experts at InfoWest know what it takes to succeed in today’s fast-paced world. As technology continues to evolve and create new possibilities, the company remains Southern Utah’s leader in internet connectivity.
