Irish pubs closed: Popular South side pub forced to shut after positive Covid test

A popular South side pub was forced to close their doors after a positive Covid test was detected among staff.

The Abberley in Tallaght confirmed the news earlier today with a short statement on social media.

The message read: “Due to a member of our team testing positive we have taken the decision to close until further notice, until all testing is complete.

“Thank you for your understanding,

“Happy Halloween have a great and safe evening.”

Loyal customers replied with their messages of support for the iconic venue.

One said: “Very responsible decision to make, fair play”.

Another wrote: “Hope who ever it is gets well soon. Happy Halloween you guys xx”.
