
Nobody expected to be doing meetings on Zoom or Skype more than a year after the pandemic started. But with COVID-19 disrupting plans to return to the office, Facebook is launching a new virtual reality meeting platform.
Our tech expert Omar Gallaga joins us with a recap of how the tech titan is seeking to enhance the virtual meeting environment:with Horizon Workrooms, new software for its virtual reality arm, Oculus.
“It requires a VR headset,” says Gallaga, noting that ever since Facebook acquired Oculus, it’s “been trying to make virtual reality a thing.”
